'Yes, I killed John Wayne ....' (actor Bruce Dern)
Article Abstract:
John Wayne was always very gracious, according to actor Bruce Dern, who first came to public attention for playing a villain who shoots Wayne in the back in the 1972 film 'The Cowboys.' He became a star in his own right in the mid-1970s, appearing in films including 'The Great Gatsby' and 'The King of Marvin Gardens.' He remembers Hollywood at a time when actors and actresses were highly respected, and feels that their status has now been eroded. He believes that modern film-makers have little understanding of team work.

The gospel according to Noah
Article Abstract:
Actor Noah Taylor is attracted to literary, complex films, especially those by Fassbinder and Herzog. This is why he enjoyed his role in writer-director Ben Hopkins' film 'Simon Magnus.' He feels that Hopkins' screenplay was the best he had ever read. He has had to take many roles he did not like, and likes to regard 'Simon Magnus' as the first film he ever did. He is taking a more sober approach to life, and is willing to turn down roles he finds unattractive.
