21st century SST
Article Abstract:
Supersonic transport (SST) planes are nearly three times as fast as jets and are forecasted to be able to carry 300 passengers at Mach 2.4. NASA is even planning to construct a prototype SST engine and nozzle. However, SSTs have been criticized as environmental hazards, uneconomical and noisy.
