Article Abstract:
The shy, gentle manatees spend their days peacefully grazing on seagrasses in the islands of Belize City belying their conservation status. The government of Belize is paying more attention to the plight of the manatees, threatened by boat collisions and Earthwatch teams studying their habitat, needs and behavior are putting a lot of efforts to protect these endangered mammals.
