Badgers and bovine TB: conflicts between conservation and health
Article Abstract:
The possibility that badgers transmit bovine tuberculosis to cattle has prompted controversial attempts to control badgers. Research on the effectiveness of badger control in reducing bovine TB in cattle is discussed and recommendations for further research are presented.

The habitat conservation plans (HCPs) under the Endangered Species Act may exacerbate rather than alleviate the ecological crises of endangered species. Recommendations for improving the HCP process are presented.
