Article Abstract:
Research is on to develop pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs that are safer than existing drugs such as aspirin and Vivoxx. An improved understanding of the chemical pathways of these existing drugs are sought in order to develop analgesics with reduced side effects that result from the inhibition of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) by aspirin and Vivoxx.
