Birds of a feather band together: Bird banding at Cabot Head Research station is a rewarding experience for volunteers
Article Abstract:
The Cabot Head station is a part of the Bruce Peninsula Bird Observatory (BPBO), a non-profit organization dedicated to the study of birds on the Bruce Peninsula. The species, size, weight, approximate age and other data are recorded before the bird is banded and released which are then contributed to the Canadian Migration Monitoring Network to track bird populations.

The WMA was created to help preserve this natural phenomenon from the development and snake harvesting that have devastated dens in other Interlake communities.
