Cadcam: the design perspective
Article Abstract:
CAD software sales to the mechanical market reached $2.04 billion in 1991 and will continue to grow, with solid modelling applications performing particularly well. Modelling suppliers are enhancing their product ranges to offer geometry generation functions and new avenues for the technology includes rapid prototyping methods such as stereolithography, which can produce models from the solid model CAD data.
