Canada's boreal forest region- an unparalleled conservation opportunity

Information about the boreal region, which is one of Canada's unparalleled natural treasures and the largest remaining intact forest ecosystems in the planet, home to many species of wildlife is presented. The recommendations of the Boreal forest conservation framework designed to reflect the unique features of the boreal ecosystem with its space-dependent requirements are outlined.

Keen on the wolverine: Conservation and recovery of the eastern wolverine is challenging but showing some success
Article Abstract:
Wolverine, which is considered as endangered species in eastern Canada is reported. A national Wolverine Team and two provincial working groups in Quebec and Labrador are working to conserve and recover remaining animals and genetic testing must also be done to clearly identify the DNA of the species.
