Celebrating a Century of Physics, en Masse
Article Abstract:
At the 100th anniversary celebration of the American Physical Society Stephen Hawking answered questions and spoke about the universal constant, known as lambda. The theory ties in with the idea of the expanding universe. Lambda is an energy that seems to be prevalent in the universe and which counteracts gravity. Other highlights from the celebration are presented.
