Chloroplast movement
Article Abstract:
Recent research based on reverse-genetic approaches, using targeted mutants has been conducted, and one of the most exciting results is the discovery of photoreceptors for both accumulation and avoidance responses in Arabidopsis and in the fern Adiantum. The possible ecological significance of chloroplast movement is discussed.

Reactive oxygen species: metabolism, oxidative stress and signal transduction
Article Abstract:
Several reactive oxygen species (ROS) are continuously produced in plants as byproducts of aerobic metabolism. The mechanisms of ROS generation and removal in plants during development and under biotic and abiotic stress conditions are described.
