Conservation program unveiled for lower Colorado River
Article Abstract:
A recent agreement between the federal government and three western states calls on the signatories to begin work soon on what is expected to become one of the nation's most ambitious efforts to improve habitat and protect endangered species. The Multi-Species Conservation Program is aimed at improving habitat for 31 endangered species, taking steps to ensure that additional species will not have to be designated as endangered.

The Minneapolis Water Works is constructing advanced ultra-filtration system aimed for enhancing drinking water quality. This project will be the largest of its kind in North American continent.
