Coral reefs of the Virgin Islands
Article Abstract:
The project aims to monitor critical species on coral reefs and nearby habitats to assess the impact of coastal development. David Booth, Giglia, Beratta and his project team will explore on the indirect effects of human impacts on the Virgin Islands' spectacular coastal ecosystem, which supports more than 200 species of fishes, 30 corals, and numerous other invertebrates.

Maine's Island ecology
Article Abstract:
The project aims to explore the foraging ecology of gulls to determine their impact on competing species and intertidal communities. Dr. Myra Shulman, Dr. Sara Morris, Julie Ellis, Dr. Jon Witman and his project team will capture gulls using nest traps and nighttime spotlighting, band and measure them, map their nest, and observe gull behavior success form nearby blinds.
