Desensitization of -G protein-coupled receptors and neuronal functions
Article Abstract:
The progress in understanding basics of G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) desensitization novel functional roles, patterns of brain expression and receptor specificity of G-protein coupled receptor kinases and beta arrestins in major brain functions is discussed. The results state that fine tuning of GPCR signaling would result in a more precise correction of abnormal physiological processes.

Plasticity of the spinal neural circuitry after injury
Article Abstract:
A spinal cord injury (SCI) though severely disrupts motor function, exhibits a great degree of plasticity and automat city. The changes in neural control due to SCI and features of normal neurometer apparatus are discussed.

Neuronal circuits of the neocortex
Article Abstract:
The extent to which neocortical circuits generalize is explored. A simple model of cortical processing that is consistent with the major features of cortical circuits is offered.
