Enormous telescope rises on Mexican volcano
Article Abstract:
Mexico's Instituto National de Astrofisica, Optica, Electronica and the University of Massachusetts are jointly developing Large Millimeter Telescope (LMT) on the Sierra Negra dormant volcano in Mexican state of Puebla. This telescope can detect electro magnetic radiation that was emitted 10 to 15 billion years ago. The design specifications of the telescope are presented.

Panama plans to expand canal with larger locks
Article Abstract:
The Panamanian government has approved a proposal to expand third set of locks on Panama Canal for accommodating the transit of large ships. Autoridad de Canal de Panama, a government agency will look after this construction.
