Foreign marketing control decisions of firms engaged in west-east technology transfer: a test of the transactions cost hypothesis
Article Abstract:
Transaction cost analysis (TCA) is a theory that predicts that a business will perform internally whichever activities it can undertake at lower cost through the establishment of internal management control and implementation system. The TCA hypothesis, when applied to actual research data showed that asset specificity was generally significant, though uncertainty also had a significant effect on external distributors usage decisions.

Technology broking activities in Europe - a survey
Article Abstract:
The EU's poll of technology brokerage activities in Europe reveals ample room to further grow and mature. Currently, such brokers are divided into technology-intensive players, strategy and management consultants, private companies, and public organizations. Since they are important in facilitating technology transfer to small- to medium-sized enterprises, several public policy recommendations are proposed.
