Sensar Inc has teamed-up with London-based automated teller machine (ATM) maker NCR Corp. They will be installing the IrisIdent iris-recognition system into ATMs worldwide starting in the fall of 1997. The IrisIdent system uses pictures of the iris as a fraud-proof means of identification.
