Fatigue of as-fabricated open cell aluminum foams
Article Abstract:
The results of the combined experimental investigation and digital image correlation (DIC) analysis of the fatigue failure of open cell aluminum foams are presented. The result showed that the foams failed with an abrupt strain jump when shear bands were formed and serious deformation up to more than 30% was developed in the center of the shear band.

Optimization of material properties and process parameters for tube hydroforming of aluminum extrusions
Article Abstract:
Analysis of process optimization for hydroforming of central-bulge and T-branch from AA6063 is conducted for W-temper and T4 heat-treated conditions. It is observed that hydroforming in the W temper facilitates forming bigger T branch, but limits the strength of the final component compared to that formed in the T4 condition.

New estimation method of fatigue properties of aluminum alloys
Article Abstract:
A new method for estimating fatigue properties from monotonic properties for aluminum alloys is proposed. Details regarding the new method, called the modified Mitchell's method, which was compared with the six methods, are listed.
