Florida accelerates its plans for restoring the Everglades
Article Abstract:
The State of Florida is planning to accelerate the design and construction of several key components of an $8-billion undertaking to restore the Everglades known as the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP). Further, an attempt is made to revitalize the Everglades while providing reliable water supplies for more than 8 million Florida residents and ensuring that flood control measures remain in place.
