Food for thought: cutbacks in the food stamp are proving hazardous to the nation's health

Immigrants and diabetics are hardest hit by welfare reforms that the US must do something before people from these two groups start dying or start displaying health problems. The loss of food stamp benefits have left these people with lesser food than they enjoyed and it is causing health problems.

Virtual pollution: computers modeling the environment yield surprising results
Article Abstract:
Computer simulation allows scientists to determine how different types of pollution might affect specific regions, and the sources of the pollution. Models made of the Chesapeake Bay showed that the excess nitrogen pollution was not caused by local sources. The use of simulation is not precise.
