Data gathered from the Hubble Space Telescope and other radio telescopes has given physicists the necessary information to theorize that black holes can propel nearby gas clouds to form plasma. The plasma forms an accretion disk that emits light and radiation, simulating the activity of quasars.

Some bear gallbladders are being used for medicinal purposes because they contain ursodiol. Even though a synthetic has been developed, many Asians still favor natural products. Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species has helped by issuing special regulations.

A combination of AZT, 3TC and indinavir has helped to slow the resistant mutations of HIV. The combination of AZT, nevirapene and ddI has also been effective in suppressing the virus. However, the drugs are expensive and may cause side effects.
