A better view of an insect's anatomy can be seen under a microscope by viewing the insect at various stages in the fixing process. The selective absorption of the fixer by various proteins renders specific body parts highly visible at each stage of the fixing process.

A picture perfect comet

Avid photographers can produce scientifically usable photographs of comets by taking into consideration film speed, exposure time, type of lens, position of the camera with respect to earth, the path taken by the comet and the rotation of the earth.
