This article discusses the seismic retrofit work aimed at ensuring the structural integrity of the Golden Gate Bridge subsequent to an earthquake. The retrofitting includes reinforcing the support towers and concrete foundations and installation of the seismic isolation bearing at the north approach of the Bridge.
