High ambition
Article Abstract:
British Aerospace plans to implement some changes and invest over 100 million sterling pounds into its Samlesbury site in preparation for manufacturing major components for the Eurofighter. The firm intends to increase the flexibility of its workforce through training and integrate its various core competencies such that a weakness in one aspect will be offset by strengths in others. The changes include the implementation of strict performance targets that are manifested in the abundance of signages on the factory floor.
