A critique is presented of the US missile defense system, interceptor rockets that are designed to collide with a ballistic missile aimed at America by a rogue state. It is posited, however, that the interceptor rockets are inadequate, as the demands for promptness and accuracy are very high.

Should women in their 40s have mammograms?
Article Abstract:
Research is inconclusive on the effectiveness of mammograms in reducing the death rate from breast cancer in women between the ages of 40 and 49. Mammography sometimes produces false positive and false negative results, but women at high risk of cancer should have a mammogram.

Embryo overpopulation

Scientists, mental health professionals and ethicists have expressed their concern over the buildup of pre-embryos that were developed for in vitro fertilization (IVF). Hundreds of these embryos are stored using cryopresevation for use in later IVF attempts.
