IVF project stirs debate over how to preserve pandas

Chinese zoologists have been keeping captive giant panda population stable with artificial insemination since 1978, but are now planning to produce the first panda via in vitro fertilization. Opponents claim money will be taken from more vital efforts to improve wild panda habitats.

Chinese researchers debate rash of plagiarism cases
Article Abstract:
The scientific community in China is concerned about three cases of blatant plagiarism by Chinese scientists that have been exposed since 1993. One of the scientists involved blamed his actions on his poor English skills.
