Investment portfolio
Article Abstract:
Over one third of the workforce in the UK are involved with the Investors in People (IIP) Standard, which was developed in 1990 by the Department for Education and Employment together with UK businesses. Nearly 3,000 engineering companies are involved in Investors in People, which aims to provide a framework to improve performance and competitiveness. Organizations have to be assessed and once they have met the Standard they are publicly recognized as Investors in People. They are then reassessed after three years and can choose to be audited every 12-15 months.
