Is the Deep Sea on a Diet?
Article Abstract:
Researchers made a surprising finding about the balance between food supply and demand in the ocean floor of the Northeastern Pacific. They discovered that in spite of a pronounced decrease in food supply, the deep-sea benthic community's food demand remained relatively constant. A discussion of the research is presented.

Researches determining whether whales are capable of communicating have been going on for years now. Different varieties of whales have been studied and it was found out that like any other animals, whales communicate through a basic set of signals.
