Article Abstract:
The LG Kangnam Tower in Seoul, South Korea is a symbol of architectural and engineering ingenuity. The building, which will house members of the LG Group of companies is a 40-story, 183 meter tall office tower and arts center and occupies 140,000 square meters. The design team was composed of the LG Group, Jeon and Associates, Owings & Merrill LLP and Changjo Architects and Engineers. The facility features a granite-covered audience chamber, stainless steel cladding over the stage house and a glass curtain at the lobby.

State public affairs grants: becoming a fall tradition
Article Abstract:
November is the best month for civil engineers to submit requests to the State Public Affairs Grants program sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers. Since 1997, this program has provided over $400,000 to promote civil engineering in various public relations and government activities.
