Crunch ahead for space science
Article Abstract:
The US space-science program will see its busiest and best financed year in 1996, as the White House has requested a $175-million cut for 1997, and could cut up to 30% by 2002. Space science must compete for funds with other NASA programs such as the space station, whose funds are already fixed.
