Low-energy excitations in high-temperature superconductors
Article Abstract:
The Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer theory of electron pairing is applicable for most metallic superconductors, but there are a few exceptions. This is indicated by the existence of nodes in the energy gap of pairings, made evident by low-temperature properties that are not exponentially activated.

Why the glass transition temperature is still interesting
Article Abstract:
Recent advances in the mode-coupling theory have increased scientists' modest understanding of the glass transition. The crossover temperature, at which dynamic changes occur, and the contributions of harmonic vibration and anharmonic relaxation to the role of fast dynamics are discussed.

The body temperature of Tyrannosaurus rex
Article Abstract:
Oxygen isotope data on Tyrannosaurus rex bone phosphate can be interpreted to indicate that T Rex was ectothermic, contradicting a previous finding that the species was homothermic. Arguments for each finding are presented.
