Mapping the universe
Article Abstract:
Astronomers are trying to map galaxies in systematic fashion to learn how they evolve into progressively larger scales. Cosmo-cartographers are relying on techniques based on the harmonic analysis of music to understand the arrangement of galaxies in terms of random processes.
