Materials scientists view hot wires and bends by the bay
Article Abstract:
The initiation of a bend in a crystal was viewed with atomic resolution using a transmission electron microscope. Oak Ridge National Laboratory presented a metal-roller technique for manufacturing yttrium-barium-copper oxide wire that holds its superconductivity in high magnetic fields.
