National Endowment of the Arts honors engineering projects
Article Abstract:
The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has culled 57 winning projects out of 500 entrants to receive its 1992 Federal Design Achievement Awards. The projects, all federally funded and completed in the last 10 years, fall under different categories, namely architecture, engineering, graphic design, interior design, industrial engineering, urban design and planning, and landscape architecture. Pres George Bush will bestow the Presidential Award for Design Excellence, the highest design award in the US, in the spring of 1992. An NEA panel will pick the recipients from the 57 winning projects.
