The Dept of Defense is becoming increasingly concerned about the threat of information warfare posed by hackers and terrorists and information security is one area which enjoys congressional support. Some sources, however, say the threat is overstated along with the possibility of computerized attack.

Needles in a cold war haystack

There is an increasing clamor for the declassification of classified documents on high-tech arms development now that the Cold War is over. Advocates of declassification believe the public release of such information may be able to help the economy without endangering national security.
