A solid-waste solution
Article Abstract:
Broward County Florida has constructed a $700 million resource-recovery system to solve the solid waste problem. This system has two mass-burn resource-recovery facilities, with a combined processing capacity of 4500 tons a day. The resource-recovery system curtails the solid waste problem and produces sufficient electricity to power 125,000 area homes, and provides job opportunity.
