Plan B for energy

Article Abstract:

The world will need a fundamentally new technology that can supply energy without emitting a single ton of carbon dioxide and this is called plan B. Top most energy technologies such as fusion reactors, sky wind power, matter-antimatter reactors, space-based solar, nanotech solar cells and designer microbes can be brought into use without worsening global climate change, but these might be needed even sooner if conventional approaches restrain carbon dioxide emissions less than is hoped.

Fueling Our Transportation Future

Article Abstract:

The use of petroleum-based fuels on a large scale results in greenhouse gas emissions that pollute the environment and the trend of increased use of vehicles is resulting in increased use of these fuels, making the task of controlling carbon emissions difficult. Options for constraining and eventually reducing these emissions include improving vehicle technology, reducing vehicle size, developing different fuels and changing the way vehicles are used.

More profit with less carbon

Article Abstract:

Power plants and building waste huge amounts of heat, cars and trucks dissipate most of their fuel energy and consumer appliances waste much of their power. The US can phase out oil use by 2050 with the help of efficiency improvements and competitive renewable energy sources.
