Releasing the brakes on antitumor immune response
Article Abstract:
Recent research showed promise of cancer immunotherapy based on inhibiting counter-regulatory receptors for T-Cell receptors, thus removing the natural limits to the body's immune response. Antibodies for counterreceptor CTLA-4 injected into cancerous mice enabled a T-cell response to succeed.
