Raw computation
Article Abstract:
MIT's Laboratory for Computer Science is building the RAW microchip as part of the Oxygen Project. It was called RAW because the hardware on the chip including the wires are exposed to the software compiler. Applications can run 10 times faster on RAW than on conventional microprocessors.
