Researchers defy the physical limits to computation
Article Abstract:
Future computer technology may be stifled by the limits of physics. However scientists are already developing new ways to hinder possible impediments. Tiny bi-polar spin switches based on magnetism, and chemicals that recognize patterns are two avenues of research.

A quantum leap for computers?
Article Abstract:
Computer scientists are discovering that 'quantum parallelism' may be used to perform calculations almost instantaneously that would take more than a billion years on conventional computers. Research indicating that quantum computers could be built is described.
