The American terrorist: a pinch of politics, a pound of hate

Article Abstract:

The number of terrorist incidents in the US varies, depending on the definition of the word terrorist. An analysis of statistics about terrorist acts shows that terrorism that is based on the desire to use violence to make a statement about a social or cultural issue, and most often manifests itself in the form of racial or ethnic hate crimes. The definition used also includes attacks or threats against abortion clinics.
