Rocket's Red Glare
Article Abstract:
NASA contractor, Lockheed Martin have designed and built the Atlas III rocket which is propelled by a Russian engine, the RD-180. This venture has enabled a tour of the previously secret Energomash facility, near Moscow, where Russian rockets are designed and constructed.

Reaching for the rings: the biggest, best, and the last of NASA's superships, Cassini takes off for Saturn
Article Abstract:
The spacecraft Cassini and its space probe Huygens wiil be launched in Oct 1997. Cassini's outbound voyage to Saturn will take seven years. It will remain in orbit around Saturn for at least four years, taking photographs and observations of Saturn, its moons and rings.
