The Italian Space Agency: supporting international collaboration for peaceful ends
Article Abstract:
The Italian Space Agency (ASI) spends approximately one billion dollars a year to participate in European Space Agency programs. ASI has collaborated with NASA to produce the upper stage for a space shuttle to be launched in Sept 1992. ASI says space science must bring nations together, rather than promote competition.

Innovative tools for archaeology, such as ground-penetrating radar, Landsat photography and remote-sensing devices, prove to be useful in exploring hidden sites and artifacts without unearthing them. Ancient places have also been extensively studied through the use of satellite feedbacks.
