Details of the planning and execution of a systemwide urban drainage project is discussed. This Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project of New Orleans includes about 31.67 miles and is expected to cost $600-million. The venture is a collaboration between local governments and the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

This article reports on the construction of a bridge across the Neuse River on U.S. Route 17 incorporating seven ramps and three loop bridges for diverting traffic from the aging swing bridge in North Carolina. The project is estimated to cost $120-million and proposes improvements to the Trent River Bridge.
