Modern photoreconnaissance began in the 1950s and 1960s with the advent of satellite photography. Photointerpretation began during World War II and has been greatly enhanced by digital-image manipulation and storage. Photoreconnaissance has profoundly influenced international relations.

Brazil's option for science education

The Brazilian government has developed a new program called the Brazilian Plan for the Development of Education (PDE) for providing education to all the citizens of the country. PDE aims at promoting science education in the entire nation.
