The early universe had sound waves that on spreading, oscillates the density of the region. The cosmic microwave background (CMB) reveals large hot and cold spots appearing in the sky, which in turn shows, the frequency of the fundamental sound wave.

The researchers found that the cosmic expansion instead of decelerating was accelerating at a fast rate. If this pace continues, it could arrest formation of large structures and could rip apart galaxies and even our planet.
