The Environmental Protection Agency, in January 2000, ordered the military to clean up unexploded ordnance that may pollute groundwater near the Massachusetts Military Reservation on Cape Cod. The military questions the potential of the weapons to pollute water, and is concerned for the safety of clean-up personnel.
