Engineers in Monroe County, New York, have undertaken a reuse project, which aims at transforming a wastewater treatment plant into a consolidated public works complex, which will incorporate everything from offices to vehicle maintenance shops. It would be possible to reduce costs through resource sharing by consolidating operations.

Small footprint, big promise
Article Abstract:
The upgrading of a wastewater treatment facility in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, was accomplished by employing ballasted sedimentation and biological aerated filtration for treating wastewater. The upgrade was accomplished without the need for additional space and allowed improved plant performance.
