U.S. oil and gas fields double in size
Article Abstract:
The US Geological Survey's 1995 estimate of US oil and gas reserves improved greatly from the gloomy 1989 estimate. Inferred reserves of oil tripled, to 60 billion barrels, and inferred gas reserves rose to 322 trillion cubic feet. Estimates of as-yet-undiscovered oil and gas have not changed.
