Visibly managing the data
Article Abstract:
An electronic data management (EDM) system helped Racal Electronics to grow 25-fold in three years while accelerating and improving its engineering processes. The company's CAD system was adequate for designing and making changes, but those changes took months to propagate through all departments. EMCS-X, and EDM from ICL, made concurrent engineering more powerful and linked the design and production departments, saving 250,000 pounds sterling per year.
