Article Abstract:
The Alaksen National Wildlife Area wetlands represent critical habitat for scores of bird species and one of the treasured spaces in Canada that serve as refuge for species at risk. The Alaksen National Wildlife Area is part of a diverse network of protected areas encompassing 51 national wild areas and 92 migratory bird sanctuaries and is managed by Environment Canada.

Mating strategies of spiders

The primary reproductive structure of spiders is the palpal organ, which is embedded on the top-most portion of the pedipalps for injecting the semen to their female partners. Some species release pheromones to entice their counterparts, while others eat their male partners after copulation.

Some books say coyotes in eastern Canada are actually coydogs, while others say coydogs don't exist. Who's right?

Coydogs result from the union of coyotes and dogs. Coyotes have the ability to pair with dogs and wolves to produce viable offsprings able to interbreed. Limitations on the existence of interbreeds are the behavior characteristics and the timing of fertility of females.
